Member for Swan Zaneta Mascarenhas today opened a new pre-primary building at HillSide Christian College which will improve student educational outcomes.
Ms Mascarenhas said work on the development project was delivered with support of Australian Government funding of $562,000 through the Capital Grants Program.
“A lot of work has gone into this project which has delivered two new pre-primary learning areas, a kitchen and student amenities,” Ms Mascarenhas said.
“These new facilities will provide school staff, teachers and students at HillSide Christian College with better, more modern spaces in which to work, teach and learn.
“The Australian Government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding so that all students, including those in HillSide Christian College, Forrestfield, get the best possible education.”
Ms Mascarenhas said the new facilities would benefit the students currently at HillSide Christian College, as well as the many students who will follow in future years.
“The teachers, staff and students at HillSide Christian Collegehave built a strong and positive school community and these new facilities will further enhance our local educational opportunities,” Ms Mascarenhas said.
“Our Government strongly believes in providing the best possible resources so that local students can realise their potential and develop the skills they need to go on to further study or to find a job.”
