Local school receives $25,000 to upgrade facilities

MEDIA RELEASE: LOCAL SCHOOL RECEIVES $25,000 TO UPGRADE FACILITIES

Nine local schools across Swan will benefit from a share of $32 million in grants to upgrade school infrastructure and equipment.

The following local schools will benefit from funding:

Bentley Primary School - $25,000 to construct new outdoor learning spaces

Cannington Community College - $25,000 to upgrade existing outdoor learning spaces

Carson Street School - $25,000 for repairs and maintenance to school facilities

High Wycombe Primary School - $25,000 for repairs and maintenance to school facilities

Perth Individual School - $25,000 to construct new outdoor learning spaces

Redcliffe Primary School - $25,000 to construct new outdoor learning spaces

South East Language Development Centre - $25,000 to install and upgrade shade structures

St. Augustine’s School - $25,000 to purchase and install air conditioning, upgrade existing outdoor learning spaces and install shade structures

St. Clare’s School - $18,000 to repair doors and windows for airflow improvement

The funding is part of a $250 million commitment to improve school infrastructure.

All schools across Australia were invited to apply for the funding and projects were assessed by the Department of Education and selected based on need.

The Albanese Labor Government is delivering on our promise to invest in our schools, and there is more to come.
